This half term we are exploring the artwork of Hundertwasser. We thought about the way he uses bright colours and interesting patterns and we created artwork of castles in the same style.
We celebrated World Book Day by making hats inspired by our favourite book characters. We also enjoyed sharing stories throughout the day.
We conducted an investigation in science to find out which materials would float and which would sink. We made predictions and then tested each material to see the results.
Class 6 had a fantastic time visiting Clitheroe Castle! We built a motte and bailey castle, looked around the keep, learnt how to sword fight, built a shield wall and learnt all about dragons. Have a look at our pictures from the trip.
Sword fighting at Clitheroe castle!
Our core text this half term was ' Sir Charlie Stinky Socks and the Really Big Adventure.' As part of our leaning we wrote speech for lots of different characters, we thought hard about how they might be feeling and what they might say!
