We studied the works of British-Canadian artist Ted Harrison who is famous for painting Arctic Landscapes. We especially liked how he used very bright block colours in his paintings. We studied the lines he created and used pastels and watercolours to create our own Arctic landscapes.
Paul Horton is a well-known artist who has been described as a 'modern-day Lowry' because of his wide range of characters and streets scenes. His style is instantly recognisable and we liked the colour and simplicity of his paintings.

We studied the shapes that he uses to sketch the buildings and interpreted his style to create our own Nelson street scenes.
