History

We are learning about The Great Fire of London. Today we used role play to show our understanding of how the Fire started in the bakery in Pudding Lane. We worked in 3s to play a detective, Thomas Farrynor and the maid.

Today we had a visit from Miss Preston, a Victorian teacher. She was a bit strict! The children used slates, pencils and dusters to write. They were a bit scared but very well behaved! I wonder why?

We have started learning about The Great Fire of London. The children used a cardboard box to make a building in Pudding Lane. We made Pudding Lane in the classroom and talked about what the houses were made of in 1666. We made sure the houses were placed close together. Ask your child why we did this.

We made the most of the sunshine (between the rain showers) to go in to the forest school to watch our Pudding Lane burn down. We talked about being safe with fire as well.
