Holding nature in the palms of our hands
It all started when Class 5 received a mysterious package! Inside there was a bottle of salty seawater and some pebbles. There was a label and it said 'Take me back to where I belong ...'
The children worked very hard to solve the mysterious and we all decided that we needed to take the items back to the beach.
We even discovered a message in a bottle from Jim Lad. He called us Landlubbers and asked us to look after the treasure.
We've been making lots of different art. We really liked Andy Goldsworthy's patterns and sculptures using objects from the environment. In class, we have used sand, pebbles and shells to make patterns.
On Monday, Class 5 visited St Annes beach. Everybody had a fantastic day and all the children really enjoyed it. We built sandcastles, made patterns and ran down sand dunes! We had a lovely picnic outside and the weather was lovely.
