The Great Fire of London

Thank you Class 7 for performing your poem about The Great Fire of London, during superstar assembly. It taught the year 1 children lots of historical facts about the Great Fire.

Festival of Light

Year 2 used the tale of 'The lonely Beast' to write and perform their own play. It told the story of a Lonely Beast who had no one to spend his birthday with. He went on an adventure to find another beast. Along the way he met many kind, friendly people from many different cultures and religions who offered to share their light with him!

The year 3 children at Lomeshaye Junior School came to watch our dress rehearsal of our play and they were a brilliant audience! Year 2 then performed it to the rest of the school and our parents in our festival of light assembly.

Year 1 Poetry Performance

Well done to Year 1 who performed their very cheeky poem in Friday's assembly. You did a brilliant performance and made all the teachers and children laugh.

This is Me

Well done to Class 7 for their performance of 'This is me' in the superstar assembly on Friday.

Big Bad Owl

Class 9 performed the story of 'The Big Bad Owl' to Andrew Stephenson when he visited school. He thoroughly enjoyed the story and was very impressed with Year 2's enthusiasm for story telling.

Class 8 Poetry Performance

Class 8 performed a poem in super star assembly to the rest of Key Stage 1 and all the families that attended the assembly.

Poetry Performance Skills

Year 2 watched videos of poets performing their own poems and other children performing poetry. They discussed strengths of the performances and what we need to include when we're performing.
