We are using the following texts by Jan Fearnley to inspire our story writing this half term. We will be creating our own twisted traditional tales to put in our new outdoor reading shed for the Year 1 children to read.
Mr Wolf is a kind, friendly wolf but beware... not all wolves are!
Which wolves do you think are friendly and which do you think look suspicious? Discuss at home with your families and see if you agree!
Teacher demonstration of writing during story telling
We studied William Morris art work and designed some new wall paper for Mr Wolf's house.
DT Puppet Project
Children designed, made and evaluated a puppet for a traditional tale. They used a running stitch or a back stitch to join their puppet together, then decorated them, following their design. Once they had finished children carefully evaluated their design and thought about what they would do to improve them.
