We had a wonderful visit from the firefighters at Nelson fire station. They spoke to the children all about fire safety and how they help to keep us safe in the community. All of the children enjoyed having a turn or the water hose!

Police
We had some very exciting visitors come to nursery! Two police officers come to nursery to talk about the different ways the police service help in our community. They bought their very special police car which we all had the opportunity to explore!

We created our own hospital using loose parts and took on the roles of Doctors, nurses and patients!

Our morning children created their own hospital role play! After learning all about x-rays the children created their own bone pictures!
Our afternoon children
In the afternoon the children enjoyed taking on various roles in our role play. We looked carefully at X-rays and used powered paint and art straws to make our own!
Outdoors we drew around our bodies whilst learning about our different body parts.
