Monday 6th July
I hope you are all safe and well.
The Government released guidance on Thursday to inform schools about September arrangements, so we can finally start to make some plans for your child starting with us. We have outlined a plan of action and a letter will be sent to you detailing this over the next week. Unfortunately, we are still unable to invite parent's into school for a meeting due to the social distancing/gathering guidance.
The latest guidance states that children are able to return to school as a full class in September, forming a class 'bubble'. As the children have not had the chance to go through any induction visits due to Covid-19, they will attend on a part-time basis for the first week and build up to full time in the second week, with the flexibility for a longer part-time option for any children who are struggling to settle. This would be arranged with individual parents. Parents will be asked to bring £5 on the first day to purchase the school book bag and water bottle. The letter will give you exact information of times and dates.

I look forward to finally meeting you all VERY soon!
Mrs Mason (headteaher)
A very warm welcome to Whitefield Infant School!
We are delighted that you will become part of our Whitefield family from September 2020. We can't wait to meet you all!
We will be making plans for stay-and-play sessions and a parents' information meeting, however they will be dependent upon the Government decisions regarding schools re-opening. If they are not possible, we will make alternative plans towards the end of term, to ensure you child's transition is as smooth as possible.
We will use this page to keep in touch and keep you updated.
Please watch the clip below to give you a little taste of our school.
