Our learning

Thursday 26th March 2020

Ibrahim has been busy at home doing being creative and painting rainbows to spread some happiness, make everyone feel better and support the key workers. I have seen lots of rainbows on my daily walks and it definitely puts a smile on my face.

Friday 27th March 2020

Hiba has been practising her maths at home and has written a story she would like to share with everyone! She has been exercising everyday and has drawn a wonderful spring picture. I have been exercising every day too going for a long walk but making sure I keep a safe distance from everyone.

Ahmed has been working hard at home and has been practising his spelling and handwriting. He has been learning his *tricky words* and they won’t be tricking him anymore! Well done Ahmed.

Monday 30th March 2020

Ayesha has emailed to say she has been doing some fantastic work at home she has been practising her addition and subtraction and using Part Part Whole and jottings to represent this. She has also been practising her spellings. Well done Ayesha keep it up!

Hawa’s mummy has emailed and told me she is doing a little work everyday and is enjoying her reading. She has read paper dolls and then made her own paper dolls well done Hawa!

Haaris has been really busy at home his mum has sent me lots of pictures of activities he has been doing. He has enjoyed some exercise by taking part in Joe Wicks P.E. lessons in a morning, he has been practising his number and ordering them. He has been reading every day. Haaris has started the Lego challenge and is enjoying this and has even been doing some gardening to help his mum. 

Safaa has been working hard at home and has drawn the main characters from a book she has read and has written her own blurb to go along with it. Well done Safaa this is super learning.

Adam has emailed to say he has been enjoying a walk everyday and has spotted some of the signs of spring, he has found some daffodils and even spotted a butterfly in his garden. Adam has been doing PE with Joe Wicks and has been doing a little maths and literacy every day. Well done Adam!

Haaris has been working hard with his literacy learning. He has read a story and then written some super sentences about the book. Well done Haaris.

Monday 6th April 2020

Zamin’s mummy has sent an email over the weekend to show me what he has been up to. He is missing all his friends and the teachers at school but hopefully we can all back back at school soon. Zamin has been trying his best with his learning and has been out for a bike ride with his mum. He has made a lovely rainbow poster to share with everyone too!

Hawa’s mummy has sent me a lovely email to tell me all about Hawa’s spring hunt in the garden, she has found some minibeasts! Hawa then made a wonderful poster to tell me about what she found. Well done Hawa.

Barrah’s Mum sent me an email to say Barrah is missing her school friends and teachers we are all missing you too. She has been working hard at home doing her home learning. She has been doing her maths, literacy and created a wonderful picture to share with you all. 

Ibrahim has sent me some more learning this time he has written some super sentences about a picture. Keep it up Ibrahim.

Safaa's Mummy has emailed to say she has been working hard at home practising her handwriting and doing some maths learning. She has also followed my recipe for flapjack but added some chocolate chips and raisins and an extra! It looks delicious Safaa well done!

Ayesha’s mummy has sent me a lovely email to say that Ayesha has been baking and made a lemon drizzle cake. It looks delicious I might have a go when I do some more baking!

Hiba’s mummy sent me an email to say they have been baking as well they followed my recipe for the butterfly cakes and they also looks delicious. Well done Hiba! 
Zamin’s mummy sent an email to say he has been working hard at home and he is being good for his mummy as she has to go to work for the NHS. He has made a lovely poster to say thank you to the hard working NHS staff and to remind us all to keep safe at home. Zamin has been going out for a walk everyday when it is quiet and has enjoyed practising his football skills.

Hawa’s mummy has sent me an email to let me know she has been busy at home reading every day and practising her spellings. I can see she has been practising her letter formation too! Well done Hawa keep it up! 

Ibrahim has sent me some fantastic maths learning. He has been completing the 10 minutes maths challenges that were sent home in your maths pack. Well done Ibrahim!

Friday 17th April 2020

Ayesha has sent some fantastic learning to me she has been practising her maths addition and subtraction. She has also been practising her spelling and handwriting. Ayesha this is super learning keep it up.

Hawa has sent me some super science learning she has planted some cress seeds to observe the changes as they grow. She has kept a record of the changes she observed. Well done Hawa! 

Tuesday 21st April 2020

Amira has sent some photos of what she has been up to. She has been doing a little learning every day and playing some games with her brother. They even built a den. Maybe you could build a den too but makes sure to ask your grown ups if it’s ok first. She has been going for some lovely walks with her family remembering to keep a safe distance. 

Husna’s mummy has emailed to say she has been doing her school work everyday and is enjoying practising her handwriting. She is looking forward to completing the weekly challenges and I can’t wait to see her learning.

Raees has been busy at home with his learning he has been doing some maths learning on the BBC website. It’s called karate cats maths . Maybe you could play too and see what colour belts you can earn. I will leave the link below.

Hawa has sent me some learning from the weekly challenge. Hawa has been looking at 1 more/1less and 10 more/10 less. She has been practising counting in 2s 5s and 10s can you spot the pattern in her learning? She has also drawn and labelled her cress plant and planted some beans too! I can’t wait to see what happens to the beans.

Adam’s mum has emailed to say he has been keeping busy at home. He’s been doing some science learning and growing a plant with his sister. He has also been practising his maths and English. Adam enjoys doing his exercise as well and joins in with Joe Wicks in a morning. 

Husna has been very busy with her mum learning all about Ramadan and helping to prepare for this special time. She has made some chicken spring rolls so they can freeze and cook them during Ramadan. 
Husna has also completed the science challenge and has labelled the parts of a flower and a tree. Lovely science learning Husna, I am pleased you are enjoying the challenges.

Monday 27th April 2020

Adam has been learning all about Ramandan with his family. He has learnt all about the value of charity and helping those who are less fortunate. He has bought some cakes from a charity to share with his neighbours raising money for children around the world who are less fortunate than him. What a wonderful and thoughtful idea Adam.

Ibrahim has sent me some more literacy learning. He has been using his phonics to write some super sentences about the pictures in your home learning packs I sent as school closed.

Hawa has some some super learning of the challenges she has completed so far this week. She has written some super descriptive sentences about the woodland picture and she has learnt all about Ramadan and written some sentences about that too. She is missing all her friends from school and would like to hello to Salahudin, Erikas, Maahirah and Hiba.

Hiba has been working hard completing some challenges that we have set. She has been learning about the parts of a plant and a tree. She has also been practising her handwriting every day and using Lego pieces to some maths addition learning. Using the Lego pieces to represent the number. Hiba also went to see and feed some chickens this weekend with her brother.  Well done Hiba, keep it up.

Amira’s has been busy at home she has completing some maths learning, missing number additions and has created a lovely spring picture of a rabbit in the sunshine. Well done Amira

Adam has emailed some of the weekly challenges he has completed this week. He has been learning about the lifecycle of a butterfly and drawn a diagram to show this. He has also been exploring his number bonds to 10 and 20 for his maths learning. Well done Adam.

Ismael has been very busy and completed the challenges for week one and two! He has been working very hard at home with his phonics, writing, maths, science and topic. I look forward to receiving next weeks challenges Ismael! 

Zamin’s mummy has emailed me some of the learning he has been doing. He has been practising his handwriting (he’s remembering his tall letters and small letters) well done Zamin. He’s been practising his number formation and some addition. He has been helping his mummy around the house and enjoying reading a bed time story every night before he goes to sleep.

Hawa has sent me this lovely flag as part of the Fly you Flag day in Pendle. She has spent time with her family designing a flag to share and show that we are ‘stronger together’. I am sure you have made lots of people smile flying your flag today!

Hawa has emailed again she has completed this weeks maths, English and outdoor art challenges. She has done a fantastic job. Well done! 

It was so lovely to hear from Salahudin and his family today. Salahudin has been working really hard at home with his maths and English learning. I can tell he has been practising his handwriting too! He has completed the maths challenge for this week and the science challenge to. He’s learnt all about butterflies and written some facts about them.

Thursday 7th May 2020

Salahudin has emailed again today, he has been very busy creating some wonderful artwork using natural materials. He has also written some wonderful sentences about what he thinks is beyond the rabbit hole. 

Hawa has completed the science challenge and has researched all about slugs! She found out some super facts and wrote all about them. She has also completed the phonics challenge and reads to a grown up every day! Keep it up Hawa

Ismael has been working hard to complete this weeks challenges and has done some super learning. He researched all about ladybirds and has written about them and even drawn a lovely picture of a ladybird. It is so lovely to see you reading one of your books too. I can’t wait to hear all about the stories you have read when we go back to school. 

 

Monday 11th May 2020

It was lovely to hear from Zamin again this morning. He has been busy again at home with his home learning. He has been practising his number bonds to 10 and writing some super sentences and then used the sentences to colour the animals the correct colour. I can see he has been practising his handwriting as well. Well done Zamin. 

Salahudin has emailed and has sent some of this weeks challenges. He has done a fantastic job of finding half and a quarter making sure to have equal parts! Well done. He has also written all about plants, what they need to grow and drawn a wonderful diagram of the parts of a plant.

Ismael has emailed me a lovely picture of a wonderful piece of artwork using materials he has found outside in nature.

Hawa has emailed some super learning today. She has been find half’s and quarters. Hawa listened too the bog baby story and then created her own and wrote some super sentences to describe her bog baby. She also created a habitat for her bog baby. Hawa also sent me a lovey video of a wish she has after watching the video of all the teachers making their wishes.

It was lovely to hear from Ayesha this afternoon, she has done some fantastic maths learning. She has been looking at fractions, addition and subtraction and she has been representing the value of numbers how many tens and how many ones by drawing her base 10 to represent the number.

Salahudin as emailed again and sent me some fantastic learning. He has written his all about his Bog Baby called Sam, what he likes to do, where he lives and who he lives with. He also drew a fantastic picture of his bog baby and where he lives. 

Tuesday 19th May 2020

Ismael has emailed his fantastic learning. He has been learning about plants and took the quiz. He has been doing some super maths and phonics learning. He has been practising his fractions and additions for his maths learning.  Ismael has even had time to make some chocolate strawberries not forgetting find a little time to practise his reading. 

It was so lovely to hear from Eisa this week. He has been working very hard at home. He has also been doing some baking with his younger brother and his mummy. They have made a delicious chocolate cake together.
