Week 8

Muhammad Ayaan

It was wonderful to receive an email from Muhammad Ayaan's Daddy this week.  He is really missing school and everyday he asks "Is it school today?".  I wish it was, I am missing everyone very much!

It looks like Muhammad Ayaan has been very busy at home and he has been spending lots of time with his little sister.  Muhammad Ayaan has been very creative and he has designed a beautiful Eid dress for his little sister.  I'm sure she can't wait to wear it.

To help his Mummy and Daddy with their shopping, Muhammad Ayaan has made two Asda shopping bags.  What a good idea!

I was really impressed by Muhammad Ayaan's excavator, that he designed.  He also decided that he wanted to write a label for it.  So he used his phonics to help him sound out and write the word.  Well done!

Muhammad Ayaan has also completed his maths learning from the weekly tasks.  He has been practicing doubling his numbers.  He has used jottings to help him find the total.

Thank you for sharing your learning Muhammad Ayaan.  It is wonderful to see your smiley face.

Leon

Well done to Leon for his super home learning this week.  I can see he has been very busy!  Leon has been practicing his number doubles and carried on doubling up to 15.  This is fantastic maths learning, I'm very proud of you!  What did you use to help you?

Leon has also been using his phonics pack at home.  This is a super resource for you all to use at home, as there's so many things you can do with it.  This week Leon has used the sound cards to build words.  Can you use your robot arms to segment the word and blend it back together?  He then wrote a list of words using the 'th' digraph.

Ismail

It was lovely to hear that Ismail has really enjoyed completing the home learning tasks this week.  He particularly enjoyed the maths activity to work out the number doubles.  Ismail used a mirror and pom-poms to help him and then recorded his super number sentences.

I am so proud of Ismail's letter to Jack's mother.  Look how beautiful his handwriting is!  He's remembered his finger spaces, capital letters and his full stops.  Well done!

Ismail's Mummy told me that The Very Hungry Caterpillar is one of his favourite stories.  So he was excited to read the story again!  I told Ismail's Mummy that The Very Hungry Caterpillar was one of my favourite stories when I was a little girl too.  Ismail made a huge caterpillar and drew the foods that the caterpillar munched.  He even had time to make a caterpillar life cycle.

Umar

It was lovely to hear from Umar's Mummy, who wanted to share his super home learning with everyone.  Umar has completed the maths task from our Weekly Tasks.  He has been practicing his number doubles.  Umar didn't want to stop there though, he continued with some maths learning and completed some more addition and subtraction number sentences.

Excellent maths learning Umar, well done!  Keep up all your hard work.
