Through our Summer 2 whole school project 'It's Up To Us' we will develop our awareness and understanding of significant environmental issues that are impacting our planet. We will focus on how we can help to look after and conserve the natural world so that all living things can continue to adapt and grow.
In Class 5 we are learning about making sustainable food choices and reducing food waste.
Over the next few weeks we are focusing on our core text 'Don't Waste Your Food' by Deborah Chancellor.
In English we researched food waste, how it affects our world and what we can do to help.
In Art we are learning about the artist Carolee Clark who paints very bold and colourful pictures of fruit and vegetables.
We practised recreating shades and patterns that we observed in some of Carolee Clark's artwork.
