Once Upon A Time- Spring 2
This half term in Class 3, we are learning all about Traditional Tales. Our core texts are: The Gingerbread Man and Golidlocks and The Three Bears.

Gingerbread Men...
Our first week back at school has been so exciting!
We have been learning all about the story of The Gingerbread Man and we have had a go at making our own gingerbread men!!
We made the mixture for the gingerbread men and used the gingerbread man cutters to make their shape.
We then baked our gingerbread men and when they had cooled, we decorated them with icing, eyes and smarties!!
Pancake Day...
We have had another super exciting week in topic this week!
We have been learning all about Pancake Day and why it is celebrated. We learnt about when pancake day was, if any of us had pancakes at home on pancake day, why pancake day is celebrated and how to make a pancake and then what toppings are the best.
The children then decorated their own pancakes with their favourite toppings and we then did a taste test at snack time.
The children absolutely loved them and wanted more!
Our Spring Walk...
We went on a Spring walk to Victoria Park as part of our topic learning. We were looking for signs of spring, we used our good looking eyes to see what we could find.
We found lots of pretty flowers, birds building bird nests, squirrels and much more!!
