This half term in Class 3 we are learning all about ‘Me and My World’. We are going to be doing lots of learning all about ourselves, our families and what makes us who we are!

We had an amazing first day in Reception and had lots of fun exploring all of the new areas in our classroom!!

The children have been exploring and experimenting with mark making. We have been writing and forming our pre writing patterns. We have also started to learn new graphemes (letters) and phonemes (sounds). 

The children in Class 3 have settled really well. They have been so busy and are really enjoying exploring our learning environment, both inside and outside, and making lots of new friends! We have loved our first week in Reception!!

In our second week we have also been creating beautiful artwork in the style of Alma Thomas. We have been super busy in Class 3!

Class 3 also completed their first PE lesson in our second week at school, they did amazing! 

As part of our Line of Enquiry, we have been creating beautiful artwork in the style of Kandinsky. We worked really hard on our mark making and making beautiful swirly patterns! We have been super busy in Class 3!

We have also been really busy exploring our outdoor learning environment. We have had so much fun exploring the different areas!

In our Literacy learning we have been recognising and writing new phonemes. The children have then been having a go at writing CVC words in the phoneme frames.

In Topic we have been learning all about how to keep our bodies healthy. We discussed what foods are healthy and what foods are unhealthy, and why healthy foods are good for us!

All of the children made their own fruit kebab, they worked very carefully and with lots of concentration to add fruits of their choice to the kebab stick. We then tasted them at snack time and they were so yummy!!

In class 3 we have been doing lots of super learning all about Autumn! We have talked all about the changes that happen in Autumn and what signs we will start to see. We then went on an Autumn hunt in the Forest School and the children explored the changes of Autumn. We have also been doing lovely Autumn artwork and exploring the pumpkins in our outdoor area!

We have been so busy in Class 3 and have had an amazing first half term!
