Our School Values

At Whitefield, we want to develop life-long learners, who are not only prepared for life academically, but who are also socially and emotionally prepared.  We have identified 12 core values that we want to develop in our children.  Every month, we introduce a new value to our children and all our assemblies focus around explaining and deepening the children's knowledge and understanding around it.  We have linked our monthly values to celebrations/events that will be happening that month to help put them into context and give them meaning.

Are values are;

September Respect
October Diversity
November Responsibility
December Kindness
January Effort
February Honesty
March Loyalty
April Forgiveness
May Determination
June Team Work
July Courage

Each class has a 'Values Tree', which they add children's names to it if they demonstrate the value of the month.  We also have a school tree in our Hall to share during assembly time and are building up a display of our values in action for all the children and our visitors to see.

Our school values dovetail into our SMSC and British Values curriculum.
