We want learning at Whitefield to be purposeful and consolidate learning from school. We hope our approach to home learning makes learning meaningful.
At the start of each topic, children will bring home a vocabulary mat and a set of 'knowledge hands'. Please look at this together and discuss the vocabulary/knowledge to help develop the children's understanding around the topics being taught in class.
The list below highlights what children will be given for this academic year;

Reading books (changed Monday, Wednesday and Friday - unless longer chapter books)
weekly maths Home Learning
weekly phonics Home Learning (games to consolidate weekly sounds)
Poetry Book (a poem or rhyme to learn that the whole class will perform during the half term-KS1).
