Zahra

I am so pleased with Zahra this week - she has been using Phase 3 phonemes to write words during her phonics remote learning sessions. Just look at Zahra's beautiful writing, blending and segmenting skills:

Not only has Zahra been focussing on her phonics and writing this week - she has also been working on her fine motor control and spent some time perfecting her colouring skills. I love your beautiful butterfly Zahra - can you tell me the colours on it's wings?

Zainab

Zainab has been practising writing her name again this week. Last week she used the phonics packs and recognised the Phase 3 'ai' phoneme within her name. This week she has been using a blackboard and chalks to form the letters of her name beautifully. Well done Zainab:

Not only has Zainab been writing her name and finding Phase 3 phonemes within it - she has also been practising her letter formation and then writing CVC words! Well done Zainab - I am very proud of all the quality learning you are completing.

Not only has Zainab been using a pencil to write her CVC words - she has even formed them using play-dough! You are trying so hard Zainab. I am very proud of you (and thank you Mum for helping her so much at home).

Abdullah

I was so pleased to hear from your Mummy this week Abdullah - she says that you have been trying really hard to write stories using Phase 3 phonic sounds within your writing. I am so impressed that you completed this work all by yourself! Keep up the good work Abdullah!

Abdullah has also been learning his doubles using numicon. I am so impressed with your Mummy for getting you some numicon pieces after we spoke about them on the phone before the holidays!! I am really impressed with your knowledge of doubles now Abdullah!

Amina

I am so impressed with Amina this week - she has been completing her Phase 3 booklet, focussing on the 'th' phoneme. She has even written sentences using words with the 'th' phoneme too. I love your handwriting too. A very big 'Well done' Amina.

Amina has also been practising her writing - she has written the colours of the balloons onto them using a special pen. She has used her phonic knowledge to spell the colours correctly - Well done Amina - some lovely creative remote learning!! I am very proud :)

Zaynah

Here she is again working so very hard at home. Zaynah has sent me lots of photographs of her home learning this week - and I love seeing them. This week, Zaynah has been adding numbers using number lines and 'counting on' methods. She is trying really hard with her remote learning and I am very pleased with her indeed. Zaynah has also been completing her phase 3 phonics booklet focussing on the phoneme 'oi'. We had lots of fun learning this sound just after Christmas together in class too!

And lets not forget - she has also been using her phonics pack as well - Wow Zaynah - you have been so busy this week!!!!! (And so has your Mummy - thank you so much).
