Our Christmas Party

The children had a wonderful day celebrating at our Christmas party.  The had a lovely party lunch, played lots of party games and we even had a visit from a very special visitor.

Merry Christmas Squirrel!

Using one of our key texts, The Best Christmas Present Ever! (Ben Mantle) the children wrapped a Christmas present for Squirrel.  They used their phonics to write a label for the present, including the tricky word 'to'.

The Tough Terrain

The children are really enjoying their time in our outdoor classroom.  They love exploring the different areas.  This week the children went on the Tough Terrain for the first time.  They had so much fun!  Even the teachers' enjoyed the slide too!

Happy Birthday Bear!

As a provision focus, the children have been creating a birthday party, based on our key text The Best Birthday Present Ever!' (Ben Mantle).  They have decorated birthday cakes, made party hats and made a birthday tea.  They then used their phonics to label the items at the party.

Our Maths Learning

In maths, the children have been using the part, part, whole method to begin to find totals.  The children have learnt that when you 'add' two amounts together the amount is greater.

Diwali Dance Workshop

This term the children are learning all about different festivals.  The children have learnt about Diwali.  They really enjoyed their Diwali Dance Workshop.
