We had a special visitor from a lady who owns a shop called โ€˜Turtle Beeโ€™. She specialises in refilling and reusing items to help reduce plastic waste. The children listened beautifully to all the ways they can help make a difference to the environment.

World Book Day- Design your own bookmark competition. our children made some outstanding bookmarks to celebrate world book day. It was lovely to see such creative and imaginative ideas!

Tidying up the streets of Nelson! We have been trying to make a difference in our local area, in total year 1 collected 30 bags of rubbish from the streets around School!

Chinese New Year! This year is the year of the tiger. We learnt about how Chinese New Year is celebrated in their culture and made our own Chinese lanterns to mark the occasion.

We were all very lucky to have Santa visit us today and he was so kind he gave us a present to take home!

Bonfire Night 
After learning about the significant individual ‘Guy Fawkes’ we created our own bonfire in the forest school. We worked collaboratively to collect wood, build the fire and then even had a little treat of halal marshmallows and chocolate bread toasted on the fire! Yum!
