We have been looking after the plants in our school playground. We have enjoyed planting new seeds and bulbs and will be looking forward to watching them grow.
In class we have planted our own bean seeds. We will look after them and observe any changes each week to see how they grow.
We took part in a plant hunt around our school. We learnt the names of come common plants and we used the Ipads to take pictures of what we found. Then we put all of our photos together into a collage.
In art we are exploring the work of Georgia O'Keeffe. We began by discussing her life and artwork and then we tried sketching some flowers ourselves.
Our core text this half term is 'Bog Baby' by Jeanne Willis. We made our own Bog Babies and we will be learning how to look after them!
We used chalk pastels to add some colour to our artwork. We thought about which colours and shades to use and we tried hard to blend them together.
We also used oil pastels to create artwork in the style of Georgia O'Keeffe.
In maths we explored how to find half of odd numbers using equipment. We showed lots of determination and effort!
