History

Mr Wilkinson came in to school. He was an eye witness at a fire that took place in 1976 at The Imperial Ballroom on Carr Road.

We made time lines to show the sequence of events during the Great Fire of London.

We wrote letters to King Charles 11 from Thomas Farrinor. We wanted to explain what exactly happened to start the Great Fire of London.

We made the most of the March sunshine and went out in to the playground to draw timelines to show the sequence of The Great Fire of London. The children walked along the timelines, retelling the events of the fire of 1666.

There were no cameras, phones or videos in 1666 so the only evidence that the Great Fire of London comes from Samuel Pepys diary an paintings and drawings done by artists at the time.

Class 7 looked for evidence in the artists drawings and paintings.
