A Picture Tells a Thousand Words
Our learning this term all started from a painting by Frida Kahlo.
We talked about how the painting made us feel and what it reminded us off. The children shared some fantastic ideas, but they all agreed that the parrot was on a tropical beach, maybe even a deserted island!
We then found a lovely book called Message in a Bottle by Matt Hunt. All about a lion that buys a desert island, but becomes very lonely all on his own.
