Design and Technology

We are making puppets for the reception children to play with. We used the book Only One You as a stimulus.

First we looked at puppets and decided what we liked about them. We will use these ideas in our own puppets.

We worked together to get the size right for our puppet pattern by drawing round our hands.

When we had our cardboard template we drew around it on to the felt we had chosen. We used special fabric scissors to cut the felt.

We joined our felt by sewing the two pieces together.

We decorated our puppets, following our design. We are so happy with our finished puppets.
