This half term in Class 2 we are learning all about different Traditional Tales.

Our key texts are The Gingerbread Man and Goldilocks and the Three Bears.

Gingerbread Men...

Our first week back at school has been so exciting!

We have been learning all about the story of The Gingerbread Man and we have had a go at making our own gingerbread men!!

We made the mixture for the gingerbread men and used the gingerbread man cutters to make them.

We then baked our gingerbread men and when they had cooled, we decorated them with icing and sweets!!

Ramadan Craft Afternoon!!

We had a super afternoon completing Ramadan crafts with our Mummy's and Daddy's. We made beautiful artwork to celebrate the beginning of Ramadan!!

Pancake Day!!
We have had another super exciting week in our topic learning!
This week we have been learning all about Pancake Day and why it is celebrated. We looked at how to make a pancake and then what toppings are the best. 
The children then decorated their own pancakes with their favourite toppings and we then did a taste test at snack time.

The children absolutely loved them and said it was the best day ever!

Our Spring Walk...

We went on a Spring walk to Victoria Park as part of our topic learning. We were looking for signs of spring, we used our good looking eyes to see what we could find.

We found lots of pretty flowers, birds building bird nests, squirrels and much more!!

Making and Eating Porridge!!

This week in our Literacy and Topic learning we have been looking at our new core text 'Goldilocks and the Three Bears'.

We decided that we needed to make Baby Bear some more porridge because his had been eaten!

We discussed how to make our porridge and how to make sure it was just right.

We then had a taste of our porridge and it was delicious!!
