It's Up To Us- Summer 2
This half term, our learning is all about our whole school project 'It's up to us!'. Our topic is about saving the forests and the birds, and we are going to be doing lots of amazing learning all about this!
Our Key Texts are Greta and the Giants, Bird House and Pip and Egg.
In Phonics this half term, we will be consolidating the phonemes, digraphs, trigraphs and tricky words that we have learnt throughout Reception.

The Trees...
In our first week back we have been learning all about the importance of the trees and why we need them to survive!! We also learnt about how important they are for the birds. We created beautiful artwork based around the birds and the tress.
Farm Trip...
Our trip to Thorton Hall Farm!!!
Bird Nests...
This week in topic we have been learning about where birds live. We learnt how birds create their nests and had a go at making our own! We also made some amazing binoculars so that we could spot the birds!
Learning a new sport!!
In our PE lesson this week, we had a very special visit from Paul from Lancashire Cricket Club who was teaching us all about cricket and showing us how to play. He taught us lots of new skills and we got to have a go at playing cricket! The children really enjoyed it!!
