This half term in Class 2 we are learning all about Spring and Growth. We are going to be learning lots about the growth of plants and the growth of animals and different creatures. 

Our Key text is Jack and the Beanstalk.

Planting beans...

This week we have started our learning all about Jack and the Beanstalk. We loved the beanstalk that Jack grew so we wanted to grow our own!! We talked about what we needed to do and use to make our plants grow. All of the children planted their own bean, I wonder how tall they will get!!!

Exploring the Pond...

We have had a very busy and exciting second week in Class 2! We started the week off by going into the KS1 forest school to explore and see if they could find any tadpoles in the pond. We have been learning all about the life cycle of a frog so we wanted to see if we could spot any frog spawn or tadpoles! The children looked very closely and used their magnifying glasses to explore...

A visit from a Scientist!!

We then had a very exciting visit from Steven the Scientist and he taught us all about minibeasts!! Steven taught us about minibeasts that might live in our forest school and he also brought lots of amazing minibeasts with him to show us, some of the children were even brave enough to touch them!

Finally, we enjoyed the beautiful weather with Mrs Barton and planted some lovely flowers outside of our classroom!!
